I had been looking for a cheap way to expand the memory on my G1 phone and I wanted the fastest micro SD card around and here it is – a Transcend 8g class 6 card. The 8gigs is plenty of room to hold my stuff and the price is at the inflection point on cost per gig for me (ie the 16g is too expensive for the speed and the 4gig isn’t enough space).
I’ve been using this as my portable music player now for several weeks and all I can say is there hasn’t been a hiccup. In fact, I think the card has also improved the speed of the camera (which is to say the camera is still horribly slow – but maybe just a tad less so on the writes). Additionally, I use the phone, mounted as a USB drive, to move files to and from work. In this, I’ve noticed that the transfers are much more snappy – always a good thing.
For 20$, this is a great way to expand the storage space on your G1, or on any phone, that sports a micro SD card

It seems to work in my motorola cell phone but my hp netbook xp doesnt see it. Transend wasn’t able to fix it. Beware I wouldn’t buy another one.

I can’t review the item because I never received it. I can only rate the seller which in my generosity gives them “1″ star. This has got to be a one-person business that may have been good to deal with awhile back but just cannot cut it now. Communications are non-existent, and this business takes (literally) forever to either acquire the item/s and/or ship the item/s out. It doesn’t matter if you pay the minimum or maximum for shipping or even if the item is Fulfilled by Amazon … you will be waiting a very long time to get your item (if you ever do receive it)!!!
I’m an Amazon Prime member and I’m still waiting to receive this item … and I have serious doubts it will ever get here!
Unfortunately (for me), I placed another order with this seller yesterday (supposedly FULFILLED by Amazon) and paid an extra $3.99 for 1-day shipping and as of tonight (9:30 pm eastern) the item still hasn’t shipped out. The item is promised to be here by tomorrow (LOL).
So you have my story and my warning. Buy from someone else or better yet buy local as what you might save isn’t worth all the hassle that goes with ordering from this seller!

The microSD lives up to every one of its specs. it’s very easy to use because of its simple plug and play feature. The size is very convenient and this card will fit for any standard SD card slot with its adapter. It’s a very good product and highly recommended. I’ve had no problems with it at all. I recommend this card to anyone who is looking for a bigger size than normal memory, but don’t want to pay the extra money for a 16GB. Its very practical, and all my friends that have this microSD did not encounter any problems whatsoever.
