I don’t know if I got a dud pair or what, but these earphones were absolutely horrible – it was actually painful to listen to music. The bass was decent, but any notes in a higher register were either muddled or too loud. I had an older pair of earphones, and in order to compare I played a song at a reasonable volume with the old ones, and then tried these afterward. I had to turn the volume down about 75% before it was at a level where I could actually tolerate it, however my ears will ringing long after the song had finished. They did work better with my Mp3 player for some reason, but the sound quality still wasn’t as very high. If you want to get good earphones for a low price I would suggest the Sennheiser CX300′s. Although the wires are a little delicate, the sound is far superior to anything else I’ve tried within that price range.
