I bought this speaker and it worked fine for a day or 2, then it just stopped working. I contacted the company direct and they sent me a replacement speaker. This speaker did not work either. I have asked for another replacement or else my money back. Obviously with 2 failed speakers I do not recommend them at all.

This little thing works, period!! I plugged it in, worked right away, with a sound quality that is a million times better than my Dell 630′s own speakers (if you can call THAT speakers, a Campbell’s soup can with wires would sound much better ). Of course, don’t expect a concert hall experience with a tremendous bass but they do what the manufacturer claims they do and more! buy it, it’s money well spent.

I bought this little beauty after the soundcard died on my laptop. It has solved the problem nicely. In fact, the volume is so tremendous that I now have it down to 1, and that’s just right. The speaker itself is only about 3 inches wide, so you’re not going to get Bose quality. But it beats the heck out of having to use a USB audio converter hooked to speakers.

It’s simply perfect. No wires to tangle or break. Very good sound with excellent volume. This is perfect for traveling and watching YouTube, HuLu, etc. Easy to use. Just plug it in and it starts working. It costs a little more but the durability of the speaker makes it well worth the price. I’m very happy with this purchase.

My on board laptop speakers stopped working so i purchased these. They sound great and are much louder then the on board ones were. They dont take up a lot of space which is always a plus on a laptop.

We purchased one of these speakers last year and are so happy with it on our Macbook Pro that we are buying another for our second laptop.

I recently purchased a Fujitsu Lifebook A1110 laptop. While this is a decent laptop overall, I don’t think it is possible to find another laptop that has worse speakers than this model has; They are truly atrocious.

While I had no expectation of audiphile quality sound from my laptop, I was hoping that the volume would be loud enough to hear in a room that otherwise is quiet enough to hear a pin drop. This is not the case with my laptop.

I looked at a number of possible options for adding hearable sound to my laptop, but I knew that I wanted something as small and portable as possible while delivering decent enough sound so that I could play a DVD on my laptop and be able to hear it. I almost purchased something else, but at the last minute I happened upon these J-Lab speakers. They fit my bill of being small and no hassle to install. Just plug em into an available USB port and Vista recognises them with no problem. I am totally satisfied with the sound of these speakers for what they are. I didn’t purchase them for a surround sound experience; I just wanted to be able to clearly hear DVD playback and these speakers don’t disappoint.

You’ll notice in the photos of these speakers that they are shown plugged into a USB port and that the weight of the speaker is supported by the port. Though the speakers are light enough, I still think that they could stress the USB port and circuit board over time so I recommend twisting them so that the speaker rests on a surface rather than relying on the strength of the USB port to support them.

Overall I am very satisfied with these speakers and recommend them for the purpose of providing adequate sound solution for anyone who has a laptop that has speakers that are on a par with the horribly crappy speakers built into the Fujitso A1110 lifebook.

I purchased these speakers to work with my macbook when giving lectures. The USB aspect was important; because I didn’t want to be tied to a power cord or batteries. When the speakers work the sound is great and more than adequate-that is when it works. I had a devil of a time getting the macbook to recognize the speaker. Often when I go to the sound control panel the speaker wasn’t shown. Even when it was shown and selected; it will drop and the macbook will revert to the lousy internal speakers. So far I haven’t figured out the workaround do I am looking for a pair that plug into the earphone jack to see if that works better. In some ways these are great speakers: small size, good sound. I just can’t get them to work consistently.

I like this product, except it will not work if plugged in while music is playing and it sometimes makes strange noises. It will also cause my laptop (bought aug of 08) act strange at times.oes give great sound for the size

    Great small speaker!
Using it plugged into an Acer Aspire One while running a Garmin ( Mobile PC ) GPS program.
Now the spoken directions are LOUD and CLEAR.
    Great Product!

when i first saw this product on Amazon, i said: great a speaker that doesn’t need to be plugged in and it can travel with you, the whole nine. when i received it, i was very disappointed, because it was smaller then i imagined and it doesn’t have a volume knob to adjust the sound, the sound quality is very poor, you might as well have no speaker at all. i hate it, it’s not worth the money they are asking for it

Laptop Speakers – USB, Portable, Compact, Travel Speaker for PC and Mac – B-Flex 2 Hi-Fi Stereo USB Speaker (Black)

Just bought a Sony Vaio 13.1″ Z notebook, and while comparatively speaking, the built-in speakers on my Vaio are better than other small notebooks, they definitely need to be enhanced. I bought the J Lab speaker, easily slid it into a USB port, and what a difference in sound quality & volume! This little speaker really adds a punch, and is perfect for watching videos, movies, etc., without having to put on headphones.
For us who travel or want top-quality for music, a nice set of headphones don’t hurt, but for everyday use, this little J Lab unit is a perfect alternative–it’s also great-looking & is made-to-order for any laptop.
To get the best sound from these, turn your notebook volume to 100%, plug these in, and adjust sound manually depending on what you’re watching/listening to. Great sound at a great price!
