I didn’t read the specification carefully before buying. The result was a case that is much too large. Also wanted a hard shell for protection of the touch screen. Instead the shell is not really hard so doesn’t offer enough protection.

Very good case with good interior padding and hard outer shell. Does have space for gps and a few extra accessories.

The designers of this product gave little attention to considering where the item will be used and, subsequently stored. It is too long to fit into most any auto glove compartments or floor consoles and this makes it inconvenient for many users. In addition, when used with the Garmin 4.3″ 205W GPS or similar “W” systems, the case is again too long and leaves room for the unit to move within the case which defeats the purpose of the product in the first place. An additional disadvantage is that the case is described as a “hard shell case”. This is clearly a misnomer and misrepresents the accuracy of the item’s description and details. It is in fact, a molded EVA semi-rigid case. This means that while it is more rigid than a soft leather case, it can still become easily damaged if the item is accidentally dropped and then stepped on.
The case is manufactured in China (Isn’t everything?) and the price is overinflated. I paid $20.38 but the case should really cost between $12-$16. There are better choices for the prudent and cost-conscious consumer who wants to really protect an expensive piece of electronic equipment. For example, the Speck shelled silicon cases offered online are truly exceptional.
